Office Party Designated Driver

Office Party Designated Driver
Offer a service where you would transport people home from an office party when they have been drinking. You can charge a per-person fee and/or an event fee. For example, you could charge $10 per person or $200 for 20 people. There is an open market for this type of business. I do not know of any existing as yet.
Partying is something that practically everyone goes through in some form or another during their lives. Parties come in many shapes and sizes. Childhood offers parties with cakes, presents, and soft drinks. However, once people grow older, the meaning of a party is a party with food, dancing, and DRINKS!
Once a party starts, most people enjoy a drink or two, or more. Laughing, dancing, and food all cause a person to drink more than they may realize they should, if they plan to drive home. So driving home or catching a taxi after casual drinking proves to be rather difficult for some partygoers. You should start a party designated driver service.
It is not that you can offer to drive just about anyone from a party to their houses. You could work for a company, and offer to take employees of the company home after a long night of drinking. Of course, you will not offer this service free. You can either charge a company for each person driven home or offer to drive a group of people from the party to their respective homes. Charging $10 per person or $200 for 20 people is rather reasonable.
This is a relatively new field, something that is just budding, so now is a good time to get started. This is a rather lucrative business since after a long party of drinking, it proves to be rather difficult to get a cab because of two things; it usually is too late to get a cab; or the person may not be in a position to look for a cab! Therefore, instead of looking for a cab, these people will happily pay you for offering your service of taking them home safely.
Moreover, there are now many stringent rules of driving under the influence. Traffic police officers that catch a driver, who has been drinking, make them pass their ‘driving under the influence’ tests. If the driver fails, they are taken to jail and fined accordingly. Therefore, to avoid all this hassle after an enjoyable night of partying, people will more than be ready to pay you for this service!
Of course, you do not need any investment for this business. All you will need is your own car, and of course, a valid driving license. If you don’t have a car, you may as well rent a car during the stipulated time of pickup, and cover your rental charges in your charges to your customers.
You will need to advertise your services, so that partygoers (and companies hosting parties) will be aware of you. You could perhaps place some flyers on your office bulletin board, or get news of your service known to everyone through word of mouth.
Once a party in your office (and other offices) uses your service as a driver for them after their party, these members are sure to recommend your services to all future parties of the office. With this, you can be sure of getting new business for your new form of service.
Oh! An Important Tip: Remember that people that have been drinking may feel sick while riding in a car, make sure that you have some sort of container for them to use in case they do get sick. Make it clear that if they make a mess in your car that they will be held responsible for the cleaning bill, and any loss of profits.
