Harry Potter books and films have a huge group of fans in many countries
Children and adults are deeply impressed by the heavy universal vogue of the Harry Potter books. The Harry Potter novels were written by the English author J.K. Rowling. She saw the light of day on 31 July 1965. Her full name is Joanne Rowling. But she writes under the alias J.K. Rowling because primarily her publishing company considered it was a good idea not to show the aspect that she is female. The publishing house feared it could have a negative effect on the sales figures if everybody instantly recognizes that the writer is female. Consequently, instead of using her first name she used two letters. As she has no middle name she chose Kathleen as basis for the K. in her alias. Kathleen is the name of her grandma.
The very first Harry Potter story - Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone - was publicized in the year 1997 in in Great Britain. Quite funny is the matter that only thousand units of the first novel were published at the beginning. The original title of the book was not Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, but Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. But when the book was published to the American market place in the year 1998, it was named Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
After that J.K. invented 6 additional Harry Potter books. Finally the Harry Potter series is made of seven books. These are:

- Story 3: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

The Harry Potter stories have been translated into over 65 languages and have been publicized in various countries. Besides the huge success in the US and the UK, Harry Potter is also noticeably famous in European countries. I must admit that I did not have the time to read all the novels. But there are fans who know them all, which is very impressive and contributes to the big success.
